Post Jam Fixes (Alpha 0.2)


I basically ran out of time during the Jam, but I have no other projects right now so I'm having a good time continuing and fixing This is a Duck

I'm making a dev-log series on it on my youtube:  KobeMano - YouTube

but I still need to finish editing the first video if you're reading this within a week of posting. (It'll be done in a week, I'll update here when)

FIXES

1 -> Movement is fixed, ducks no longer go on the same tile as the player, and it's easier to move and push things in general

2 -> I've added some cosmetics to the upgraded ducks 

  • 'S' mod stat -> makes ducks smarter their brains will grow. 
  • 'Q' mod stat -> quality upgrade, stars appear above the duck.
  • I still need to give the ducks both a TNT vest and some Guns.

3 -> Assembly Mods can be Chained together now, only of same-types. I.e., 3 'TNT' blocks will give the duck 3 TNT stats. (Also, the stats are maxed at 4 now, duck will be destroyed if go over)

4-> Improved the menu, settings now carrier over when restart

Next To-Do

Right now, I'm working on a Ledger, that will track the order and ducks in play, and overhauling the Order System in general.

You'll be able to choose which order to pick based on factors such as rewards & difficulty, the orders themselves will make more sense and be tied to a story. 

And I'll give the ducks some guns.  And a proper guide in the ledger too.

I'm finishing up the youtube devlog videos, next time I update this itch page I'll post the link to the logs. But right now I'm overhauling the menu to be a ledger and thought I'll just post this now so people can still change the settings in the demo version.
